Hellhole

Hellhole, or "Contest Preview", is a dead board created with the intention of allowing users to ask for clarification about their moderations and whether they should dispute those moderations or not. Hellhole was founded in November 2005 as a response to an update in Message Board Help's sticky topic by SBAllen that declared all questions about moderations to be off-topic on Message Board Help. Questions and advice on Hellhole are given by both moderators and the board's regular user community.

Over time, the community of Hellhole has grown and the focus of the board has shifted away from primarily answering questions about specific user's moderations. Instead, it is now something of a social board where users have regular social discussions as well as topics concerning moderators and the moderation system, with questions about specific moderations shifting to the background. The board has become a hotspot of activity for several moderators such as Zhuge Liang, BlitzBoy and Burgess, MBH veterans like Starfighters76 and Nemephosis, and several of GameFAQs most well-known trolls and trouble-makers including Lionheart, TRC, and Gavirulax.
