ASCII
From WikiFAQs
(Redirected from ASCII art)
The American Standard Code for Information Interchange, or ASCII, is a standard character set supported by most computers around the world. It includes the alphabet both in lower and upper case, all numbers, and a set of standard characters.
On GameFAQs, the term comes up mostly in the context of ASCII art - drawings made entirely with ASCII characters.
Several well-known ASCII images that originated on GameFAQs include LUEshi, Jinjo, and Admiral Ackbar, which unsurprisingly have all become fads.
In addition to fad ASCII, several ASCII artists have submitted samples of their work as seen on GameFAQs:
8-Bit Mario, Absol, Admiral Bobbery, Aeka, Alpha 5, Alphabet Soup, Amarao, Fiesta Hat, MS-ASCII Agumon
