Autoflagged
Autoflagged words are words or strings which are not banned but are often associated with TOU violations with possible legitimate use.
Although users are free to use autoflagged words, they are presented with a disclaimer highlighting punishment for inappropriate usage. While the disclaimer does cite that the message is flagged for review by a Moderator, it is believed that the actual effect is a higher priority on the message if it is marked (i.e. Moderators do not review each autoflagged message).
Due to the way the boards are configured, autoflagged words can be used in posts but not in topic titles or profiles. Placing an autoflagged word on a profile is considered a censor bypass in the same way it is for banned words. In messages, working around the autoflag by changing part of the word is not considered censor bypassing.
Examples of autoflagged words include "queer" and "retard". Although these do have legitimate usages, on GameFAQs they are more commonly used as insults. Like banned words, some legitimate words trigger the autoflag disclaimer because they contain the flagged character string. These have been reduced overtime due to SBAllen's efforts to whitelist innocent words.
