Jeff "CJayC" Veasey is the founder and former head administrator of GameFAQs. Starting the site in 1995, he is no longer running it completely on his own as he used to, but still puts in a lot of hours in just keeping the day-by-day operations running. Between reviewing user contributions, administrating the forums and answering incoming feedback requests, he remains a busy man, rarely having the time to actually socialize on the forums; much to the regret of many of the longer standing members who remember a time when he could. His lack of sociability on the boards means that when he does post, a kafuffle of sorts erupt and users respond with amazement.

Departure and account closure
On 7/19/2007, CJayC announced his intent to leave the site. Rather than announce a date or deadline, he has said he prefers to fade away slowly so as not to make an event out of his departure whilst slowly handing the day to day operations of the site to SBAllen. He has not, however, logged in on his account since the 1st day of August, 2007 and curiously CJayC has logged onto GameSpot more recently then he has from GameFAQs.
On September 8, 2008, CJayC's AIM account was hacked by Amir. SBAllen proceeded to close CJayC's account in order to prevent Amir from causing widespread damage.[1] The account closure caused widespread chaos on the boards and several social boards held mock funerals and mourning services.
On September 9, 2008, Amir had what is probably the last "interview" CJayC would have concerning GameFAQs.
Trivia
- CJayC has been moderated twice in the history of GameFAQs. He was moderated by Nemesis after calling Black Panther a lamer, then a second time for calling Life, the Universe, and Everything a cancer.
- KatThePoet deleted one of CJayC's topics for an offensive username.
- CJayC participated in a radio interview broadcast on March 2nd, 2002 during a program called "The Gaming Files".
