Fap

Fap is a slang term for the word "masturbate," popularized by the online comic "Sexy Losers". Because masturbate is an autoflagged word, fap had become a popular way for GameFAQs users to comment on and discuss masturbation without tripping the autoflag. On or around March 1, 2007, the word "fap" became an autoflagged offensive word. Posting it was still allowed, but the post would be reviewed by a moderator in a fashion similar to posting the word "masturbation."
