Lead Moderators are Moderators who bring important message board issues to the attention of the Administrators. Lead Moderators began to be introduced in 2005, being chosen from the ranks by CJayC for their active presence on GameFAQs. The plan was originally for Lead Moderators to eventually begin handling very small administrative duties on the message boards.

On March 9, 2005, Sailor Bacon announced the first two lead moderators, Sashanan and RaptorLC. The current Lead Moderators are cold blue steel, Deathjester, Demonoid Phenomenon, Devin Morgan, Error1355, Math Murderer, Philz20, ruyeyama, RaptorLC, and TheMissingLink1186.

Former Lead Moderators

• Sashanan resigned on January 3, 2006.
• tiger8191 resigned from his position as a Lead Moderator on March 11, 2006.
• CVagts was demoted to Veteran Moderator in March 2008 for inactivity.
• RaptorLC resigned on June 30th, 2008, but was reinstated in June 2010.
• Crono LV99 was demodded due to inactivity sometime during 2009.
• SineNomine resigned in late 2010.
• Math Murderer stepped down as a lead mod on May 13, 2011, but returned in late November 2011.

Powers

Four abilities specific to Lead Moderators are the ability to sticky and unsticky topics, uphold or overturn second level disputes forwarded to them, the ability to suspend other moderators, and the use of a signature wipe tool that removes problematic signatures without deleting the posts. They were also given a special Lead Moderator board on November 4, 2005, but this was later removed.

In addition, if there is no one from the admin team around, any Lead Moderator can answer administrative questions on Message Board Help or elsewhere and their reply will be official until stated otherwise by an admin.
