Legion of Legato is a spinoff site, mostly consisting of users who frequent the Current Events board. It has almost 800 users (currently only about 550 now due to inactive users being deleted), and over 355,000 posts as of October 3rd, 2007. It was formed July 29th 2006. Legion of Legato has also become a banned word on GameFAQs.

History and Beginnings
It was started by Legato and Vash, a frequent member of Current Events. It currently is an invisionfree board but hopes to have it's own domain someday. Its users rocketed to above 100 within the few days of its creation. The number of posters who post frequently are rising at a constant pace.
On August 11th, a suicide planned by members of LoL was posted on Current Events. The users of LoL and users of GameFAQs alike aided in the topic reaching 500 posts before moderators had the chance to delete it. The topic was not deleted for an hour after it's original post, partly due to the fact that it was a surprise suicide, in which the topic creator ThunderCunt made it seem as if he was asking for girl advice. He followed his original post with pornography, many censor by-passes and flames toward all of the moderators he was not fond of. This event gave many LoL users pride for they had accomplished something which is rarely accomplished; a suicide topic reaching 500.
Culture
Since the large majority of it's users are originally from GameFAQs (mostly Current Events), many GameFAQs fads and responses also are seen. It is a small community of about 20~30 regulars, with people posting here or there. Although it is in it's beginning stages, some users have gained an extreme liking for this community. Legato and Vash has on several occasions expressed his wishes for new users, but some(often people that joined in the earlier days) are against it due to their fondness of the small and tight community that it is now.
Many users also are banned (or received some other form of moderation, such as a suspension) from GameFAQs. These users often are angered by Moderators and refuse to go back to GameFAQs, preferring the less harsh set of rules and the more lenient moderation staff.
Moderators have the ability to warn users and thus restricting their posting. They may also edit posts of other users and can delete/sticky posts and topics. There is also another group of users called Strategists, but they have no real power. There is some Moderator elitism in which they look down upon Strategists, claiming they do not deserve such status.
The most popular board is called Current Events, due to the fact that Legato and Vash himself is a CE frequenter as well as many users at LoL. There is talk about this being changed though due to the fact that it is the same as GameFAQs. There also exists a Life, Universe, and Everything board and an Anything board, but they are rarely used. Special interests boards, although horrificaly slow compared to CE, get their share of posts. There are three private boards called Plans, Lucky, and Science. Lucky is owned by a user named Curry13, the winner of a contest held by Legato and Vash in which he gave the winner their private board. Plans is more open and is basically used to keep new users out so the regulars can strategize upon making their site grow. ChadThyJuggla, a Legion regular, holds the Science board. Guests can only view one board called Guests, in which there is one topic by Legato and Vash welcoming them.
The board of Current Events was change recently to The Lounge to further it from just a copy of the gamefaqs board named current events.
Banned from GameFAQs
Links to the Legion of Legato were banned from GameFAQs when a user (lepraconog) spammed in a topic using the alt "plus2mana" gay porn, pokemon hentai, and said link. This resulted in anyone with the link in their signature getting suspended for a couple of days, linking to legion of legato banned from GameFAQs, and all the accounts on the plus2mana user map getting axed.
Change over
There had been recent admin shuffling which resulted in user Gamer x being the only admin. Gamer x is a general hated user becuase of his long useless posts trying to argue stupid points, and then how after everyone said "we finally dont care, leave, we hate you" he replies with "lolol i r t3h troll i winnar," which became his response for the past several months whenever people would try to get him banned for being a stupid fuck.
Not too much later the user blaha deleted every topic and post. Some people were mad but other people just lold. Gamer adminned side to keep the peace after he went on a "zomg legato will kill you joifajidfsaijippi aids i have aids" rant. Gamer was deadminned by side and then side made it so the only admin was lepraconog, who just happened to be on vacation at the time. Lepraconog always whined to be admin, and since he was on the list of trouble users not allowed to be mod or admin, it was a touch side and other thought to be funny.
When lepraconog got back he was confused at why he was admin, went on ventrilo and was briefed by other forum members who had already switched to the new incarnation of the legion of legato. Lepraconog did the only responable thing he could think to do, admin the 4 people on ventrilo and lol. Once they were adminned, they finished off the original board, deleting every user with less 4,000,000 posts, and blocked all the root admins ips that were ever used, removing every board except for a redirect to the new legion and taking the board offline.
