Notification

Notifications, otherwise known as 3 Karma Loss moderations or 3KLs, are the second lowest grade of moderation and the first level with Karma deduction penalties.

Notifications are issued for moderately serious TOS violations, such as providing links to illegal resources. They are also issued for blatant violations, such as censor bypass; violations posted despite the user being aware of it being a violation; and as standard punishment for a user with several NKL violations in their Moderation History.

Initially, Notifications were the lowest moderation that would generate the yellow bar notification from which it gained its name, but NKLs were eventually given notifiers as well so that users could learn from their mistakes. Users can dispute a Notification in an attempt to get it appealed. Unaccepted 3KLs stay in the moderation history for 30 days, but accepted 3KLs stay in the moderation history for 20 days.
