ruyeyama is one of the Lead Moderators on GameFAQs. ruyeyama was selected as a moderator in July 2000 as part of the 2nd batch, making him one of the longest-serving moderators on the site. He was promoted to Lead Moderator in October 2005.
Curiously, ruyeyama's promotion remained unknown to most users, leading to a search for the mysterious eighth Lead Moderator. Due to the lack of a public presence, users were unable to access his user profile, which could only be viewed from an active message. Furthermore, the moderator crew did not disclose the identity of the eighth Lead Moderator. A couple of private board admins came up with the idea of granting access to every moderator, allowing them to view their profiles and discover the elusive Lead Moderator.
Unsurprisingly, ruyeyama has continued to remain out of public sight.
