Special Characters

Special Character support on GameFAQs is low. Characters that are non-ASCII are not allowed in topic titles at all. No As of November 28, 2006, all printable characters in the ISO-8859-1 character set are supported. This article provides a list of characters that users can copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) into their posts.
For technical reasons, the soft hyphen is not shown on list below. It is only displayed when a word reaches the edge of the printable area (in this case, the post box). Instead of moving the entire word to the next line, a hyphen is shown at the location of the character, and the rest of the word is shown on the next line. The Windows alt code for it is 0150. (To enter this, hold alt and type 0150 on the number pad.)
