SBallin'!, formerly known as The Daily Grind was created by Sailor Bacon for use as a blog during the 2005 E3. However, it remained disused for well over six months.
On November 5, 2005, CJayC posted the first topic, discussing GameFAQs' 10th anniversary. Two days later, he explained that "The Daily Grind" was now a blog, a replacement for the frequent small updates he used to post in the early years. For a while, he posted on an almost-daily basis, discussing mini-reviews and answering questions. After CJayC's retirement, the board went unused for a long period of time.
On November 15, 2005, Sailor Bacon posted his first topic, talking about what he does as an administrator.
On May 1st, 2008, the board was renamed SBallin'! in reference to a popular fad regarding SBAllen's username. SBAllen explained that the name change was also in part because he wanted the board to have a different reputation and feel to it than CJayC's The Daily Grind. In the same topic, SBAllen promised to attempt to use the board on a more regular basis, as it had been at points under CJayC [1].
