Uphold

From WikiFAQs
Jump to: navigation, search

If a user disputes or appeals a moderation and the moderator, lead moderator, or administrator reviewing the dispute sees the moderation as fair, no change is made and the dispute or appeal is upheld.

Sometimes, replies from disputes are more informative than the original moderation, and the moderated user may choose to accept the moderation. If the user still feels the moderation was unjust, (s)he may either dispute it to a higher authority (unless the administrator upheld the moderation) or simply ignore the moderation if (s)he feels no good will come from another dispute.

Consequences

  • If a dispute is upheld, it will count towards the five disputes allowed to a user until it purges.
  • If a lead modeator appeal is upheld, the user loses the ability to appeal any future moderations to a lead moderator for the length of time that the appealed moderation remains on their Moderation History.
  • If an administrator appeal is upheld, the user loses the ability to dispute any moderation for ninety days.
