Moving Articles

  • Please do not move vanity articles to user pages. This has been brought up at MBHShield and discussed with dws90 (who keeps on doing it anyway =/ ). Inappropriate articles are removed, not redirected to userspace. Thank you. --Scottie_theNerd 05:01, 12 August 2006 (EDT)

  • Why was moving the article to his user page a problem for you? And incidentally, wasn't it decided that one sysop shouldn't overrule another without discussing it with them first? --Prometheus flame
  • ^What he said. I have seen pages moved like that many, many times in the past. I think even I've moved a few like that as well. Whats the problem? --Vgg91 14:28, 12 August 2006 (EDT)
  • I dont get it, I never said vanity articles shouldnt be moved. In fact I remember saying if possible always move them. Theres a difference between inappropriate and misplaced. --Drunky 16:33, 12 August 2006 (EDT)
Oh, but it was my mistake not to take out the redirect. That shouldnt have been left there, thanks for deleting that Scottie. --Drunky 16:33, 12 August 2006 (EDT)

Darth Maul Interview

  • Yes and no. It looked like that (minus the numbers), but it was bolded in Microsoft word, not wiki. I still had to run it through my little Java application. Why? --Dws90 11:07, 9 September 2006 (EDT)
  • Ah, I see what you're talking about. No, the copy he sent me had perfectly normal quotation marks, and I can say for a fact that the article, preupgraded, was perfectly normal. somebody would have noticed if it weren't. That's weird. --Dws90 14:21, 9 September 2006

  • Is there any way to become a moderator, like a test or something, or do you guys not accept any more moderators?--VidGameFreak 18:05, 2 November 2006 (EST)
  • Ok thanks for the fast response.--VidGameFreak 20:15, 2 November 2006 (EST)

VFD

Ahhh thank you i was looking for that, so i can put it anytime i vote for deletion, or does it have to have a certain number of votes for deletion?--VidGameFreak 08:52, 28 November 2006 (EST)

Oh i thought editing user pages for anything was not allowed. Whoopsie, my bad.--VidGameFreak 11:33, 5 December 2006 (EST)

Block his sorry ass. If you're wondering what I'm talking about, see his contribs. Pure vandalism.--Hoshigaki Kisame 08:09, 19 January 2007 (EST)

  • Hey Drunky do you guys have any applications for moderators, or is there any way to become one.--VidGameFreak 22:33, 27 January 2007 (EST)
  • Alright man, I'll start to pay attention to the little mistakes like grammar and spelling. And im also on a lot because this is practically the only site that is unblocked on my laptop at school, so I can be on anytime.--VidGameFreak 16:02, 28 January 2007 (EST)
  • Cool, thanks for giving me a shot, so are there any things I shouldn't do, or is it basically just common sense?--VidGameFreak 20:14, 30 January 2007 (EST)
  • Ok sorry didn't know that.--VidGameFreak 19:09, 2 February 2007 (EST)

VFD template

uhh yeah my bad, so can i at least delete http://wikifaqs.net/index.php?title=Talk:VFD since it isn't directly referring to the right article?--VidGameFreak 21:46, 5 February 2007 (EST)

Haha yeah I figured that, and yeah don't worry ill get it changed every week, ive got nothing better to do.--VidGameFreak 23:14, 5 February 2007 (EST)

Delete me

  • Yo drunky i am going to have to close my account, is there any way you can delete it for me or block me or something? I am asking this as a favor, if you can't its fine but please try to, I really need to get off the internets, and i dont want any incentive to come back, so can you?--VidGameFreak 00:00, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

The whole SSBB thing

Sure, I'd do that, and you can trust I wont take advantage of it >.>

Not quite sure on blocking policy.

I don't know if there is a certain magnitude of vandalism or whatever that relates to a specific time frame for a block or not, so I just hit it for infinite. Inform me if I'm doing it wrong. >_> --Demi Zenith 19:40, 13 April 2007 (EDT)

Were those accounts for the people of NGG created?

The people signed up and I considered them all credible, I just want to confirm whether they were created yet or not?--Super Japans Top3 20:22, 18 November 2007 (EST)

About the second set of WikiFAQs accounts

Yeah all them are trustable and worthy to get. --Super Japans Top3 17:06, 26 November 2007 (EST)

Boo!

* First off, this is suppose to be unbiased. Stop reverting the change. And GameFAQs is an American site, so we usually use American English. --Drunky 18:38, 22 September 2007 (EDT)

block

I blocked him because he was a crappy contributor, that did nothing but screw up articles, and I found something that apparently nobody noticed so I blocked him for it. >_>--TRC 02:50, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Does this mean I'm a new mod?

I just looked at the recent changes and noticed my mode was changed to +sysop. Beneath that, it says +sysop (New Mod) for TRC. Also, how much did he pay you? --Dreamwalker 22:50, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Damnit Drunky

I shouldn't have asked you to delete that category page until later. Because of you there's that one tiny spot in the middle of the recent changes page that keeps me from having a complete monopoly on it! *shakes fist* (lol nerd worries) --SpaceMedafighterX 14:58, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

My First Block

I finally got the chance to use my sysop powers to block someone. TrickedOutHoro was doing bad things to your userpage. Is 1 month appropriate, or should I have done more or less? --Dreamwalker 04:16, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Thanks for getting back to me. I'll remember that for the future. --Dreamwalker 04:55, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Lists are Stubborn

When merging all the lists of various types of boards onto their respective articles, I encountered a major formatting issue. The lists would appear further down the page than they were supposed to (beneath other section titles). The best thing I could do to fix this was to place the list above its corresponding section title, but even then I had to remove the "See Also" section because the furthest down list would always end up beneath it in the preview. Can you find out how to fix the lists so that they appear in the section we tell them to appear in?

Here are some links: Special Interest Boards Social Boards

Note that I tested previewing other pages upon inserting a new section beneath a list, and the list almost always ended up below that section title. Obviously I didn't save any of those edits though, as they were just tests to prove it's a problem with lists in general. --Dreamwalker 16:39, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

  • your never gonna let me get rid of that page are you? >_<--TRC 17:41, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
  • come on drunky >:|--TRC 12:54, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

TRC article

  • I really don't want that article up anymore, especially not in its current state, it doesn't really serve any purpose other than being OVER informative if anything, I say either let it be redirected to misc. kos users or somebody else should completely rewrite it, all it does is make me look vain. My e-peen on GameFAQs is quite large enough at this point. --TRC 12:12, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
  • <3 thank you
  • did wikifaqs get invaded yesterday or something?? @_@--TRC 17:58, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Evil Spambots

Isn't there a way you can stop them from editing pages?

I noticed all their names have "buy" in it, so perhaps there's a way to make that string illegal? Actually, I thought account registration was closed, so how are they registering in the first place? Hacking into an account with admin powers? Or something else? --Dreamwalker 16:25, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

  • Dude, just reclose registration till you can install something that stops the bots. >_> --Demi Zenith 12:37, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
  • It seems a "random letter" spambot avoided the block. -guwa 23:39, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
  • Drunky is a terrible person who trolls the poor spambots needlessly. Just felt I needed to get that out there.--Ricky Williams 00:32, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
  • I'm still a bit undecided on the matter. I'd probably be inclined to keep it, as the banning of another single user (Underivative, at 8/17/2008) is also listed and undisputed. From what I'm reading, they both seem to have had the same level of infamy at the time of their bannings, so I don't see why one would be more important than the other. -guwa 21:53, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
  • edit - Author Request, it exists on deletion page and I took that option.--TRC 20:56, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
  • If possible, could you delete the article I just made so I can recreate it? I made a mistake. -guwa 18:49, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
  • That's what got me to change it, actually, since it reminded me of the problems I had importing the original template from here to WikiCEdia. >_> -guwa 20:11, 9 December 2010 (EST)
